ALL FIXED!! Sorry about my mistakes ya'll!! (yes, I'm from the south )
Omgosh, Aly, you're only like 4 days away from testing! I'd be losing my mind. And thanks for the info in the OP. How fun to see our names up in lights! lol If you want you can add to mine that I'm on 225 IU's of gonal-f, expected IUIs on 4/6 and 4/7. But that may change tomorrow, so you might wait, too. lol

Does anyone know why they do beta tests for us rather than just the usual pregnancy blood test? I'm wondering if there's a higher likelihood of chemical pg's after using gonadotropins, or something. That would kinda rot.

Hey, nobody's posting today! I got news though... I just did my trigger shot a few minutes ago and I'll be having my first IUI in the morning, and another on saturday morning (so 4/4 and 4/5).

I'm kind of excited about it, but it's not the ideal situation. I've got two mature follies (20 mm and 19 mm). I was really hoping for more. I think I would have been very happy with three and a little nervous but hopeful about four. Somehow two is a little anticlimactic when I normally ovulate one on my own, anyway. Really though, everything depends on the sperm. Our big issue is that dh has low count and low motility. So, I am trying to suspend my enthusiasm till we see those numbers.

LiamsMommy, I hope your head's feeling better!

Good luck with your IUI today!!! Two follies is great!

I agree 2 follies basically DOUBLES your chances...I know the dr's say not to look at it that way but I cant help it....I also did some crazy math this month that since there is a 20% cahnce of getting pg any given month that bc I had 6 eggies I had a 120% chance (20% x 6= 120%) I dont think it quite works that way.

Good news is I tested this morning, and my trigger is gone. I wasn't expecting to see anything, I am only 9dpiui but I really wanted to see my trigger gone and I DID!!!

Hey girls...

Just got back from my follicle scan. I had 5...2 @ 40 mm, and 3 @ 28 mm.

Essentially, I'm cancelled.

Again.

The RE forbid us from trying au naturale this cycle because I had an extremely high chance of quads/quints. Next cycle (if they allow me to go ahead with this) they will drop my Clomid down to 50 mg. This is not my life.

Aly - yay for the trigger being gone! I tested BFP at 11dpiui (it was reeeeeally faint but it was there...only a few more days!)

rubidoux - Two is a fabulous number! I wish I could just get two! With my first IUI, I had two follicles and I got pregnant.

How is everyone else doing?

Leah- I'm so sorry!!! It's so devastating to be so geared up for something and have the rug pulled out from under you at the last minute. Has your dr considered switching meds to see if you respond differently?

Aly- Yay for the trigger being gone! I guess this is the only time on an IF thread to get excited about a bfn :Lol

UGH!!!! That really sucks... You are a far better person then I am, I would be bding away (even against dr's orders) My Dr told me last month that I had a follicle that was too big I think it was in the low 30's so the chances of your 40mm ones being viable seem to be pretty small. But then again, I DEF understand your desire of NOT wanting multiples. The very idea of 2+ babies at one time boggles my mind. At this point Ill take what I can get though. Good Luck next cycle, droping your to 50mg clomid seems like a really good idea!!!!

Well I tested this morning
OF COURSE!!

I'm only 11dpiui, but I am sure to start any day now, I dont know when though bc of my progesterone. I'm still hoping that later in the week a BFP pops up on me

Aly, I'm sorry. It IS early though! Not sure if this is your first time taking the prog. but if it is, fyi, it takes me personally til about 18 dpo to get AF on it. Hopefully you'll get your bfp by then, but I just wanted to warn you if she doesn't come and you're burning up the pee-sticks. GL though!

Liam'smommy, I am so sorry. This is not fair. AT ALL. I could feel the despair in your message and . Did y'all bd a little or not? It must be awful to go through taking the clomid and not be able to try.

Rubidoux, Yeah it was really hard to lose time and removing the polyp was explained to me as an easy breeezy thing. They were able to get it vaginally after much work getting the cervix to dilate. Sure hope having it gone provides a fert. boost for both of us. GL with your follies!

Kristen, How are you doing? Here's to everything working just right this cycle!

I'm still : waiting for post-surgery AF at what I think is 13 dpo.
Leah, : That just sucks. Are you gonna bd? I would have a hard time resisting that, although if I did I think I'd be really scared after. What a decision! Anyhow, I'm really sorry! I would be so bummed.

Aly, How frustrating!!! I am really, really, really hoping to wait until the day of my blood test to POAS bc I will go crazy if I have to see negatives several mornings in a row. But I know it will be super hard to resist. I'm really hoping you get that BFP soon!

I feel like so much has happened in my cycle since I last posted. I did try to post a day or two ago and then the server was being flakey and I was too tired to type it all out again. So, here goes...

I had my two iui's on friday and saturday, but when they looked at my follies by u/s on saturday they weren't sure if I had ov'd or not, so they said I could come back in for a 3rd iui today. And of course you can never say no to more sperm in your uterus at a time like this. lol When I went in this morning they did another u/s and now I have definately ov'd. Phew! So, I feel a little bit lucky about getting some extra swimmers.

Dh's count was similar but on the low end compared to his s/a's. His s/a's were 8 and 9 million. For our 1st IUI, it was 7, 2nd was 6, and 3rd was 10 (shockingly that last one was highest). But, the good news was that motility was way better than in the s/a's. He was 20-30% in the s/a's and 57%, 49%, and 30% for the iui's. Of course it's kind of disheartening to see our numbers next to the "normal" column, since they're a fairly small fraction of normal. But all in all, it was pretty good given what we already knew.

Is anyone else having symptoms from the trigger shot? I am having very strong breast symptoms. I haven't felt this way since ds was an infant. I feel engorged! (Could it be possible that I still have milk? He weaned almost exactly a year ago.) And my breasts even look bigger. I am certain this is not a real pg symptom since I wouldn't even be near implantation and I think it may have even started around the same time I had the first IUI. But I can see that pg symptoms, if I get any more from the progesterone, are gonna totally play with my head. I *feel* pg. I didn't have any symptoms last time till I was 10 weeks along.

eta: Aly, if you wanna update my info w/o digging through my posts: 225iu's gonal-f cd3-9, 2 follies 19 and 20mm, HCG trigger evening of cd10, iui's the next 3 mornings on 4/4, 4/5, 4/6, pg test scheduled for 4/18

Rubidoux, Well I'm glad you got yourself covered by 3 IUI's. GL! And those numbers are really good for m/f insem. I'm hoping for you! I always take progesterone in the LP by the way (when we're trying) and it always gives me wicked preg. symptoms. : Not nice at all. I consistently have a progest. read of like 7 yet I have a 14 day LP.

How are you doing today Aly?

Day 1 or day before day 1 for me, AF spotting and hormone-ddrop headache.
Here we go!
Aly- I'm sorry about the bfn, but 11dpiui is really really early. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

rubidoux- the trigger seems to give me lots of crazy symptoms. My dog has been sick the last two days, and throwing up. This morning while cleaning it up, I lost my cookies, too. Hopefully your 3 iuis will exponentially increase your chances!!!

poetgirl- yay on getting to start your post-surgery cycle!

We got the results from the SA last week (from our iui attempt mixup). Apparently the results were pretty much inconclusive because there wasn't enough there to test. Which probably means we couldn't have done an iui with that sample. Sigh. We're trying to figure out how much the lack of volume is due to the retrieval and how much is due to his MF issues. I'm just biding my time until the next cycle starts, which should be this coming weekend or really early next week.

Good morning, ladies...

Rubi - Nope...no BDing for us. We were strictly forbidden to even go near each other over the next few days because we have such a high chance of higher order multiples (and resultant ill effects to the babies.) So...we're on hold. Blah! I am so excited that you were able to squeeze in a 3rd IUI...your chances are so good this month!

Aly - Sorry about the BFN. I hope it's just too early and you'll see two beautiful lines within the next few days.

Kristen - Sorry about the SA results...but your next cycle is just around the corner! I always have a strong resurgence of hope once I start a new cycle.

Poetgirl - Woo-hoo...new cycle! Don't you hate that hormone drop headache? Ugh. I get it once my estrogen starts to rise quickly (a few days before O) and once my progesterone drops (right before AF.) Tylenol is my best friend.

So - I'm expecting a call from the RE this afternoon to give me some details on the protocol for our next cycle. I have a feeling we're going to drop the Clomid back down to 50 mg or discontinue it altogether. My RE said that in his 15 years of practice, he has NEVER seen a response like mine to such a low dose of Clomid. I have the same response as someone who is doing injectibles and preparing for a multiple-egg harvest (IVF.) Unbelievable. I just want a baby...I don't want the "Ovaries of the Year" award!

Hope your day is great!

Hey ya'll!!

Well I tested again yesterday to another BFN, I'm on 13dpiui today and did not test, I will not test again until friday and that is only if I have not started.

kristenok18: Sorry about the SA results, it must take the sting out of the mix up a little though. Hopefully, somehow the the bding did the job this month!

LiamsMommy31905 On a side note, 31905 is our zip code HAHAHA, random, I know. I too always get a renewed sense of hope at the start of each cycle. I respond really well to clomid also, not as well you though, on 50mg I ALWAYS have 2-3 follicle, on 100mg last month I had 6. Hopefully droping you down will do the trick.

poetgirl BOOO HISS!!! for CD1!

rubidoux I am a total POAS-aholic. I seriously find it IMPOSSIBLE to carry on with my life if I have not tested by 10 dpo hahaha. Your a way better person then I am. Its harder to have AF just show up if I have no clue, at least now I am prepared for her! Wow 3 IUI's now if that doesnt cover all bases I'm not sure what does!!

My digital camera sucks at taking close up pics.... You cant make out anything from the pics. I'll use DH camera tomorrow and posts pics.

I am so scared that this is not real, I keep staring, and the line is there, its just faint! I hope that is bc it was afternoon urine. I keep trying to talk myself out of it being positive, like "hummm, my urine was cloudy, maybe it just made some of the dye stick in the wrong place." But even DH sees the line. UGH, time will tell!
WOOO HOOOOO, ALY!!!! I'll be praying hard for you that this is a sticky bean, and that you get another BFP tomorrow!!
