Anyway, I want to write my own version of Evie's birth, but this is a pretty cool summary of my two days...

I'm not in your DDC, but I had to say "Bravo!" and congratulations on the speedy arrival of Evie Rose.

Wishing you a wonderful babymoon.

I love it!! Who contacted the news? You or someone else?

Wow! My baby was also born "en route" (in our car!) in February and we're also in MA...
how weird is that? As far as I know, we didn't get any news coverage, though...perhaps because the EMT's didn't arrive until 7 minutes after she was out
I don't know how to link to my birth story but it was posted under both "birth stories" and "February due date club" if you want to read it

Congratulations to you & your speedy arrival!

The news got the info from the police logs. I am still in shock that 911 calls are public like that. Most of my friends are VERY disappointed that the call was so calm. I was having contractions every 45 seconds and screaming "I can't stop pushing!" My best friend managed to get the call in between those screams.

DBZ, was it your baby that was born in the hospital parking lot?

Yep . It is kind of disturbing that 911 calls are that public. I'm glad we didn't have to call 911. It was very close to that. A nurse suggested I call the newspaper, but I didn't think that was a good idea since I'm a single mom.

So what kind of bizarre questions and comments are you getting as a result of your unusual birth?
