5 weeks to go...no breast leaking AT ALL?

I haven't had any discharge of anything at all from my breasts, and stimulation, etc, does nothing. Is this common? It seems like most of you have been talking about oozing or leaking colostrum for weeks now, but I've got nothing. What's up with that? Is it common for first time mothers not to get anything until the baby is born?

I've had three babies and have never leaked before my daughter has nursed and my milk has come in. Its not unusual at all.. you should be feeling lucky! Leaking will come soon enough and when it does you might rue the day you wondered where it was!

popping in from may... i've never leaked either and have successfully breastfed my daughter... for four years now.

this time i know i have colostrum because my daughter tells me i do, but no leaking at all and i think i got a drop *once* when i tried to do some hand expression. so... not leaking/leaking means nothing!

Popping in - saw this in New Posts - I never leaked anything before birth. DD is now 18 months old, still happily nursing several times a day, and I never leak. Never had any ned for breast pads, even the first few weeks.

It is disconcerting when you read that every one else's body is responding in a way yours isn't, but just realize that every body is different, and it doesn't *mean* anything.

I'm glad this question was asked - I was wondering this myself. I have two weeks (or so) to go until EDD and I haven't leaked at all. I feel better now.

I leaked a lot last time and very little this time : So I dunno, guess it's ok one way or another. Its certainly more comfortable *not* having your bra glued to your nips, let me tell ya.

I don't leak at all while pregnant, but as soon as my milk comes in it's a FLOOD! With my first, I would spray while getting out of the shower, it wasn't funny at the time but it sure is now. I have about three dozen pairs of washable breastpads, it's the only way to keep from doing laundry every day.

No leaking here either, but every once in awhile I will find some crusties in my bra cup :-)

None here either...I'll get a drop if I squeeze one out, but otherwise no.

I'm REALLY glad I am not the only one not leaking!! I was starting to feel like my boobies were defective!!

I haven't leaked either. I don't think I ever have, not until the baby's arrival.
