Somebody reassure me please!

I'm 38w1d today. My ds is 22 months old and about 30 pounds. He was standing over me while I was lying in bed trying to nurse him this morning and he fell. His knee hit my belly and it hurt so bad that I was crying. That was about an hour ago. Ever since then I have been feeling my stomach tightening about every 2 or 3 minutes and it still hurts. It doesn't feel like what I would expect a contraction to feel like (I've never felt them before due to DS being born via c-section). Anyway, it feels more like I have a stomach virus or something. It's an all over the stomach kind of pain and that doesn't really seem to get better or worse when my uterus tightens.

I just called DH who is about 5 hours away and told him to get home ASAP (mostly just to deal with DS so that I don't kill him).

I cannot go into labor this weekend, it's horrible timing! Someone please tell me that what I'm feeling is no big deal and it will go away soon.

I would call your HC provider now. Better safe than sorry and that sounds like a medical question.

Hang in there mama!

How are you feeling?

I say call and see what they say. Drink lots of water too.

Update us on what is happening and let us know your ok.

Baby you need to wait until Daddy gets home!

I agree with pp; call your provider right away. I too would drink lots of water and try to rest as much as possible on your left side until you get a hold of him/her (I know hard to do with a 22 mos old; hopefully your dh gets home soon).

Update us as soon as you are able.

I lost my internet connection right after I posted, so this is the first chance I have had to look at it.

I didn't call my doctor, but I did try to relax and stay calm. It took a couple hours before the puke/diarrhea sensation went away and I did have BH the entire time. The baby is moving around and everything seems perfectly normal now (6 hours later). DH is home, DS is napping, and I am now going upstairs to nap too.

I'm glad you're feeling better. There's still a lot of cushioning in there with the fluid, thankfully. DD has been rough with me, too, but thankfully no falling on me with her knees... Just purposefully climbing on me with her knees.

I'm glad your doing better.
