A first for me....

This pregnancy has been so different for me than the last two. The morning sickness was no where near as bad, and didn't last the whole time. My blood pressure has stayed up and not bottomed out all the time. Very few leg cramps.

And today.... I have started to lose my mucus plug!!! I've never lost it before... now I'm just waiting on the "bloody show"... I never had that before either.

Both of my labors have been completely different, so I'm wondering what this one will be like.

What is different for you this time?

I've never lost a mucus plug either, what color is it supposed to be??

I've been getting small globs of mucus the last few days but they have a yellowish/greenish twinge to them?!?

Hmmm, different for me.
Lack of sleep, seriously I've never had a pregnancy where I couldn't sleep at least a little. With this one though I've been fighting it tooth and nail just to get a couple of hours a night. I have this restless arm thing that drives me nuts and it makes sleeping even worse. I am so looking forward to that going away once the baby is born.

More BH, prodromal labor, and changes in my breasts (darkened areolas and nipples). I also had "morning sickness" that lasted well into the 3rd trimester this time and I never had that with the last two.

I've heard that third pregnancies are outlyers (not like other pregnancies) but always wondered if that was an old wives' tale. Now I'm not so sure.

Same here.

What I lost today was brownish. And about the size of a nickel but balled up... humm.... I don't really know what to compare it to. Bigger than a blue berry smaller than a cherry...

I'm also having pms type cramping and uneasy feeling, but nothing more than annoying like with pms type cramping and such. It is coming in waves.

MIL is out of town right now (an hour away) so she will have to make it back here fast! Also I have plans to go out for a few hours tonight with a friend. First time I'll be going out with a female friend alone in years! (my guy friend just doesn't cut it when it comes to talking about what you can talk about with another female ya know.)

This pregnancy has been much better than my last -- no bleeding, no complications, nothing to worry about -- it's great! Things I've experienced this time that I didn't last time are BH cx, no round ligament pain (woohoo!), awful tailbone pain (blugh), and insomnia.

You know that it figures you'll probably go into labor before then right? I've got plans to go with a friend to a nice day spa for pedicures this afternoon My baby has orders to stay in until this evening!!! We are going to the mall this morning and I better just walk nice and slow as I am *not* missing my pedicure! This mama neeeeeeds it!!!!!!

Also have a ton more of BH. Started losing my bits and pieces of plug at 34 weeks! And still going at 39. I feel like.. : . Last time I only started losing it after internals at 37 weeks, then at 40weeks3 days went into full blown labor.

Through all the different aches this time.. at least I don't have PUPPS! and I am not swollen at all. I can generally still wear my rings.. If you guys want I can post a picture of the temporary wedding ring I had to get last time.. to show you how swollen I actually was. Fingers were approaching sausage like portions.

Yeah we are thinking about getting a pedi tonight too! My toe nails need it bad. Even though my friend told me I had the best looking feet for a pregnant lady. I looked at my toes and thought differently... but hey.. if someone thinks they look good I'll take it

My two pregnancies have been pretty much the same. Started gaining a lot later with this one. Had some weird gagging issues in the fourth month which was different. Bh are a hundred times stronger than last time. I didn't lose my plug or get show last time but am still looking for it this time around.

I'm just hoping that the labor doesn't happen the same way. Last time was horrible.

Oh, another big difference was weight gain. I'm finally up to 24 lbs gained this pregancy (others were 23 and 25 - so that's right in the ballpark) but nearly ALL of that weight came in the third trimester this time.

With the other two it was spread out throughout the pregnancies.

I'm wondering if the nursing made the difference. This is the first pregnancy I've nursed a LO through. (she's weaned now, though - at around 41 months - 3 yrs 5 mo)

maybe, i nursed dd until around the third trimester and that's about when I started packing on the pounds.

My two pregnancies have been like night and day.

Lynden's pregnancy was awesome - I was mildly nauseous in the first trimester, threw up once, and was done with it. I gained about 30 lbs pretty evenly throughout the pregnancy, never had heartburn, had lots of energy, felt all glowy and full of life, and just loved being pregnant.

This time, I was horribly, horribly sick for the first four or five months. I lost about 25 lbs and couldn't keep anything down for weeks on end. When things finally did start staying down, I still felt nauseous all the time and had no appetite whatsoever until about the sixth month. Even now, nearing the end, I don't have much of an appetite and some days have to force myself to eat. I've only gained back 15 of the 25 lbs I lost, so at full term I weigh less than I did at conception - that's crazy! I haven't had a good night's sleep in months and months, whether it's because of insane dreams, an aching back, or having to pee a million times. I've been exhausted from day one, and have had a hard time keeping up with the housework & my son. I don't have that glowy feeling that I had last time, or the energy that made me feel like I was capable of anything. Nevertheless, I have still loved being pregnant this time around and can't wait to meet my wee one.

Not too exciting...but good things. I really don't have much side effects from pregnancy other than exhaustion.

More insomnia this round...less weight gain...smaller belly....less baby movement by far...

that's it. I never lost a mucus plug that i know of...i do wonder how this labor part will be different tho...
