Would you tell? (Home birth Question)

I live up stairs from my land lord, she a very nice old lady. Her son's also live with her. On the way to the washer-mat down the street, one of her son's friends goes "We though since you were out you had the baby" I told him no that I was just seeing a friend in the city. Should I tell her that I am having a home birth? Normally I would not even think about it, but she live under my feel in the most lit. of way! mer...?

I wouldn't necessarily, unless it came up. We live on the other side of our landlady, too (it's a duplex), and I told her we were having a HB after she asked about hospitals or something. She was pretty happy and has been telling all the neighbors about it! But I prob wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise. Definitely don't present it as "asking for permission"! Just state it as a fact.
