I was going to get some Seventh Generation but read it's full list of ingredients and deicded not to, same with Ecover. What is a good brand for dish soap that doesn't have sls, or other stuff like "eth's"?

I use Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds for dish soap.

I use Nature Clean, and I checked I it doesn't seem to have anything funky.http://www.naturecleanliving.com/products.htm

Dr. Bronner's SAL's has SLS. I had to read the label twice before it really sunk in.

Is it because they have just SLS or other icky ingrediants, too? Just curious.

I'm wondering the same thing. I use Ecover right now.

The thing is when it comes to any number of "natural" products just because nothing weird shows up on the ingredients list doesn't mean they are safe. ex - Seventh Gen, Ecover, Ecos all have 1,4-dioxane (a carcinogen) residues in their products. There is no mention of this on their labels and they can get away with it (well, could get away with it until OCA ousted them) because it's a residue of ethoxylation (using a petrochemical) and not an ingredient.

I remember reading that just a few days ago. Crap. So what should I be using for soap? This sucks because we had been using 7th gen. as a hand soap too, with some add EO's for antibacterial purposes. DH loved that stuff because it was the only natural soap that didn't dry out his hands. Nice, that we've been washing our hands with a carcinogen.

our fav is caldrea ones. So concentrated and cut grease really well. I am not sure if it's all natural though, as there is no ingredients list on the bottle.

I've found myself at a bit of a loss on this one. I've been using ECOS and LifeTree. Both have residues, but LifeTree's is the lowest of the two. I'm not sure about the rest of the ingredients in LifeTree's dish soap, though.

It : me - picking out a dish soap should really be easier than this.

I had t pick something as I was oredering from Frontier and went with Earth Friendly (ecos). I know they were high on the list, but after reading their site I felt better ordering from them and once I get my shipment I will cal to see if it's from a new batch or old.
Here's a link to their response about the chemical

Does anyone know how Shaklee rates? I have been using their Basic H2 cleaner and loving it. They have a dishsoap, I wonder how it is....

how do Trader Joes products stand as far as containing SLS?
Hmm. I've been happily using Bio-Kleen's dishwashing liquid, but I haven't actually checked to see if it contains SLS or not.

Earth Friendly Products Ultra Dishmate specifically says on the bottle that it doesn't contain SLS or DEA. I LOVE it...we get the almond oil kind (I believe the other is lavender), and it works better then any other dish soap we've used. The smell is delicious, too...almost makes me wish it was edible! :
