Which fabrics should I use and where?

Hi, I am new here! I am currently beefing up my Newborn fitted stash for my 1st baby due in 4 weeks by making some serged Very Baby fitteds in the NB size. I will be using wool covers.

I am an experienced seamstress, but have never made a diaper before.

I have:
Plenty of "fashion" knit for the outer layer
3 yards cotton velour
2 yards bamboo velour
A lot of 55% hemp 45% cotton jersey (dyed and natural)
2 yards organic french terry
2 yards sherpa knit terry

Sooo....the question is...What do you like to use for the various layers. I will probably experiment with internal and snap in soakers to get a feel for what I like. I am at a total loss as to how to layer this diaper.

Help!

Thanks,

Cory

So I know that I should put the velour next to the baby's skin and the knit print on the outside, but what is best for the inner layer? Sherpa? French Terry? Hemp Jersey? How many Layers?

If I put an internal soaker in there how many layers does a newborn need and which fabrics?

Thanks!

Cory
