NON-Vaxers - Did you vaccinate out of necessity?

Hi all, just wondering as non-vaxers did you ever come face to face yet with "having" to vaccinate, how did you handle it? I am having amazing trouble with this, advice needed....
We are traveling to South Africa and West Africa, (yellow fever vaccination recommended and possibly required in one country). Doing lots of research to see how we can avoid this in our non-vax dc.
Anybody else have non vaxed dc but then find themselves in a situation where it could be required? Do you just not travel?

We only travel to Europe and they don't require vaccines there. The subject never came up.

Do a search. From what I remember not too far back someone else is in your situation and they said the yellow fever vax is only required for people coming from another developing country. And never for kids.
