I bought some diapers from a WAHM and I need to add a few snaps to them. I'm not in the cloth-diaper-making business, (although starting to think it could be something I want to try on my own soon!) so I don't have any supplies. What are the basic things I need to just add a few snaps to these diapers? I have about 30 diapers that need about 4 more snaps each. Would appreciate any and all advice! Thank you!

Hmm I aways thought you needed a snap press to attach snaps, unless someone else knows a way to do it without one!

You can get snap pliers and cheap metal snaps at a fabric shop/craft supply store. They aren't as durable as resin snaps but they'll get the job done especially if you don't want to invest in an expensive snap press.

I would do it for you, but I am too preggo to snap atm, DH does it, and he is the slowest to get things done in the world, so better off finding someone else to do it.
In future, if you think you will need extra settings, ask the WAHM you buy them from to add a few extra settings... they will most likely do it, and may not even charge you extra... if they do, it will be VERY little, since the snaps are cheap and they are already snapping.
if you are thinking of getting into the cloth diaper business, or even into just sewing your own, you may think about getting a snap press... the yahoo group Notions Supply (run by serena) if they are accepting new members is usually the best price around... she charges a little over $100 for a press and $60 worth of snaps, including surface shipping, but that will take time, or around 135ish (haven't looked in the price in a while, may be off) for air shipping, which will take a couple weeks probably. bewst deal around. wish I had gotten mine from her.

Just thought I'd add that there are pliers for plastic (resin) snaps and it's a much smaller investment than a press, so a good idea if you only need to do a few.

If you don't want to purchase a snap press, look for a mama near you that you can send them to be done. For instance, I advertise on diaperswappers that I do snaps, and I know a lot of others do them too. Pick someone close to you, so you don't have to pay a lot for shipping.

I have a snap press and could put some snaps on for you if you mark where you want them. PM me if you want me to do it.
