I was going through Hearth Song today looking for things/ideas for DD1's upcoming birthday and saw a tipi in there. My sister has one for her kids and they love it. I thought that might be nice for now since DSS is here too. Only I don't have $110 for ONE tipi much less two.
I've googled a variety of terms and so far have come up with one decent (and free) tutorial. It's ok. I'd like a better one (it's over on Familyfun.com) though. Does anyone know of one? Perhaps with lots of pictures?
Also, for those who have made one or have one, what size are your rods? Every pattern I have found is geared towards a family sized tipi. I just want two kiddo sized ones! Maybe one a bit bigger for DSS since he is 7 but really, anything smaller than a family sized one.
I don't want to tweak any exsisting patterns so if there is a free one out there for smaller ones that would be lovely. Point me in that direction!
Also, anyone want to share pictures of theirs? I have a basic idea of how to construct it so if anyone can show a bunch of pictures (including inside) maybe I won't need a pattern (though I sort of do for dimensions and what not....sewing is not my forte...knitting sure but I'm not up for knitting one!).
