We've used a plastic Tupperware microwave steamer for vegetables for years. I think that's the last plastic thing we have that gets hot, so today I bought a metal steamer basket.
I'm assuming I boil water and then put the vegetables in the basket, right? About how long will it take to cook things? With the Tupperware steamer, I can pretty much cook everything for 5-7 minutes and it's done. Does a steamer basket take a lot longer?
