...boy!
Alexander Jon ("Xander" for short) was born Monday, March 31, at 4:20 am. (Yes, we snickered at the time, LOL.) He was 8 lb 14 oz, 21" long, with a 14" head.
Labor was pretty rough. I went from 4 cm to pushing in less than 3 hours, and he came out sideways--his head AND body were facing my right thigh. My throat is raw from screaming bloody murder the whole time. The midwife kept commenting that few women have the pelvic room to push a baby that big out sideways. So, um, yay for my giant hips, I guess.
Needless to say, I tore something fierce. It was "only" a second-degree tear, but it was long and jagged and took forever to stitch.
Xander is just wonderful and nursing well. Just like his big sister, he pretty much came out of the womb and went, "Where's the boob?"
He is having some crankiness from gas, but when he's not dealing with that, he's been pretty easy-going. DD is excited and keeps kissing him and wanting to help out, but she covers her ears every time he cries, LOL.
I'm going to try to read and catch up, but congratulations to anyone else who delivered in the past few days!
