JennM freaking incredible. We aren't even halfway through this month. : crazy crazy stuff. CONGRATULATIONS.

I'm thinking that a queer thread in Dec DDC is totally feasible at this point

If I get pregnant this cycle, my due date is January third. I am so totally going to fib and join the December DDC.

If it's multiples, you totally wouldn't be fibbing!

(only wishing multiples on you if that's what you want...)

To all the mamas with BFPs! All hail the BFP!

Plentiful sticky dust and oodles of fairygodmother juju coming at you from my little nook in the mountains.

I honestly can't believe all the BFP's this month!!! Wow!!

Once I get my blood work confirmation Tuesday...I'm gonna head on over to the Dec DDC. It awesome how many of us there are...incredible.

2HM...you definitley should join Dec if this is your BFP cycle...close enough, right?

I have changed my mindframe. Instead of freaking that I ovulated before the IUI, I am keeping in mind that I had two follicles. So, I could have had a thermal shift and still be in the game with at least one of the follicles.

If someone has two follicles, they do not ovulate both at exactly the same time, do they? Anyone know how much time was lapse from one follicle ovulating to the next?

YES! There is lots of hope. You timed ideally for what would be a second insem, if you were doing two, and now you know - you don't take that long to go from about to O to Oed, just like me.

Also, since you know you had two follicles, that's great - you would hopefully O twice, and they could be up to 24 hours apart, plus the thermal shift would happen with the first one, so that means you might have only Oed the first time before your insem. The way I read it, you could still have fraternal twins, even.

Besides, this month is apparently lucky, lucky, lucky as far as BFPs go.

I'm cranky and bleeding over here, CD 2, and I'm still on a break, but ever so slowly not being able to take any more breakiness, so I want back in the game soon. We'll see.

for those keeping track, I started bleeding and hour ago, oh well guess I won't be inseminating today?:

Congrats to you JennM! That rocks! December is going to be a rocking month over on the December DDC. It makes me a little sad I won't be joining you all. Oh well, all in good time, I suppose.

actually I'm thinking I might insem! The friend staying at our house right now insists that the ONLY time she could've gotten pregnant HAD TO BE when she was bleeding!! It was the only time she and her guy had unprotected sex...KD is already scheduled soo... now its just convincing Moll and dealing with the mess? !!?? why not?

Umm, can I nominate you? Please?
In other news, KJM, Mollie, and FtMPapa and I were on a panel last weekend about queer reproduction that ROCKED! It made me really grateful for the connections I've made here on the queer parenting forum, and specifically during my time ttc. This is a really awesome, special group, and I'm glad that we're all here for each other. Especially, you know, in the midst of this queer baby boom...
You may have graduated but you're still missed over here! And I would love to be nominated but we're taking two months off. Also I am so proud to have had such wonderful representation for queer reproduction. You guys ROCK!

I don't see why not either, couldn't hurt.

JenM CONGRATS! The BFP train rolls on!

AAU: Well, we visited our RE last week and he pretty much told us what I figured which was that we had three options. 1) Continue IUI's and meds. 2) Move to injectables. 3) IVF. He also said that my lining was not getting as thick as they like to see it which is at least 8, mine has been around 5-6. So I might be fertilizing good eggs but not catching them. Of course we don't know that.

So for now my acupuncturist wants me to take two months off so we can focus all our energy and effort on June's cycle. After some thought Terri and I agreed that would be ok. I'm going to try to lose some weight and the break will be good for my sanity. I'm already feeling better. In June we'll probably try again either at home or another IUI and then consider IVF for August. I never thought it would take this long or that I'd ever be considering IVF but we do what we can do and we take it each cycle, each day, at a time.

Good luck to those in the 2ww! I'll still be checking in here often.

Congrats, JennM!!! :::

Can I please be moved to waiting to know? Two IUIs done (Sunday and this morning)...I think the timing was really good... 2happymammas, our RE times our IUIs so that one is done when the follie is mature (18+mm), I get a trigger at the same time, then I get the second IUI 24 hours later and the follie is ruptured by that point...so I don't think it's terrible if you did an IUI shortly after the egg was released, the egg's viable for 24 hours, right?
KJM So sorry But I'm glad you'll still be here to keep me company next month, and then we can move on to the Jan DDC together

Burtsgirl I'm glad you're happy with your decision. I hope your TTC vacation does wonders for your mental clarity and your utering lining. Eat lots of pineapple on your break. Bromelain in pineable is supposed to thicken the utering lining. Preferably pineapples garnishing the sides of pina coladas!

Clomid induced rant First I have a confession. Last night I took the 3rd dose of unprescribed Clomid 50 mg. I tried to go to the doctor and do all the monotoring, trigger, IUI and such. . . but the total cost of all that on top of the sperm cost just put it out of our reach. Insurance covers nothing. So far so good, it's just making me an irritable moody - no, I'm sugar coating it - I'm down right angry, want to kill everyone mad, and confrontational. I was having a conversation with my 2 female co-workers today about the pervasive yet subtle misogyny that still goes on in the U.S. and they were just so complacent about it! Them "Well things have changed a lot and they'll keep changing slowly. What else can we do" Grrrrr!!!!!! I want to do something!!!!!!!!!!!! End of my Clomid induced Rant. Thanks for listening

deed is done

Can I be moved to waiting to know...

Had our IUI this monrning.. 4 follicles and the best spermies we ever had... something like 100 million motile........ so we have our fingers crossed... and everything else as well.

Thus begins another neverending TWW....... I so hope that this is the time for us...
