So, where's my nesting energy?

Shouldn't it be in full force? I'm sooo tired and I've got so much to do. Blah. Anyone else?

Can I have some too?

I bought all these groceries to make a bunch of meals to freeze, and you know what? They are going to go to waste.

No nesting energy here either! Well not alot anyway, it seems to come in spurts. I can get a good 20 min burst and then I don't want to do anything for the rest of the day.

I'm confused by this too. Shouldn't I have a spotless house by now? Was it Paphia who said all she did at the end of her last pregnancy was wait for the cat to move so she could take the lint roller to whatever it was sitting on? I wanted that. Instead my house is a stye and I don't even have any kids yet!

I'm just about done with work so I'm off to clean the house again... I keep hoping today will be the day everything magically pulls together, but I doubt it. I just don't have the energy.

I looked for mine in bed for the last hour and a half, but took a nap instead

Your nesting energy ran away with mine I think.

I just commented to a friend that maybe baby is waiting for me to have a clean house to come out. In that case I think I'll be pregnant forever and ever.

I used up my nesting energy weeks ago....now all I want to do is sleep.

I have NO nesting energy and I can't sleep. I keep waiting for that spurt of energy so I can start making the lasagna I was going to take to the birth center. I just feel so drained and my poor dd is bored out of her mind. I guess maybe it means the baby is going to hang out a few more weeks.

That's me!

and I usually spend those 20 minutes doing something mental....like cleaning the stovetop in an OCD manner. (Vs. doing something like making a meal to freeze for later, or doing laundry, or washing dishes.)

I washed three windows today, inside only, and started a load of towels.

That's it.

Lol. I think I *may* have had about 48 hours total, but it's been spread out over weeks and except for one day, it mostly came in spurts. I still have things I wish I would have done by now, but I've surrendered. Waving the white flag. If this one is waiting on anything else to be done around here, he may be in there for a really long time... Really long.

Yep yep, I'm totally knackered, can't be bothered to do ANY of the stuff I need to do... like cooking, cleaning the fridge, cleaning the pantry, rescuing baby things from the spare room of doom, pulling weeds, cleaning the car... and these are just things I NEED to do, not even "extra" nesting things!

I've been whining at my husband about not nesting. I want to nest. I need to clean this house. But what's worse is dh has been whining at me for not nesting. Because he wants me to nest and he needs a clean house. And if it doesn't get cleaned up before babe is here, he'll have to do it

I hear that.
I too have maybe 20 minute spurts and then am exhausted the rest of the day.

I had MAJOR nesting a few weeks ago and did all the organizing i could...but basically put off the major cleaning until this week b/c my mom is coming Tuesday and i wanted it spotless and also as clean as possible nearer to my EDD.

So i am forcing myself to nest....and i mean spotless deep cleaning, scrubbing every nook and cranny....and its exhausting me big time. It will feel soooo good when its done. I've divided it all up into a couple hours of work each morning until my mom gets here. I will be done monday! Then i can just relax and enjoy Nana and Elliot bonding.
