x-posted in TAO
Recently, I sent the full payment in for an old bill. I sent it certified mail and even tho the post office notified the company 3 times that they had a certified letter to sign for, the company never picked up the envelope. The post office returned the letter to me last week.
I had written the company prior to the certified letter letting them know to expect a payment. I googled, but I can't find info on what to do next. I know that if a company refuses payment, it can be considered paid in full or something, but I don't know the particulars.
What should I do now? I don't want this to go to collections, but if it does...I tried to pay it already. I don't want to waste another $5 trying to send the payment certified mail if they're not going to sign for it. Is there a website that could help me? I want to be done with this bill already.
TIA for any advice.
