(cross posted) Looking for San Francisco midwife

I delivered my daughter (first baby) at CPMC with no epidural but WAY more intervention than I ever wanted. I *may* be pregnant with #2 (hurray!) and I'm scurrying to find other options in the City. Any women have stories to share, recommendations for midwives (I'm option to doctors as well - but only ones who are very natural-birth minded), birthing centers or hospitals (I'm beginning to believe that you simply can't have a low-to-no-intervention birth in a hospital...but still, I'm slightly open). Because of where I live (small apartment, not that comfortable), homebirth probably will not be an option for me but I definitely want a gentle, natural, unmedicated delivery with a compassionate and competent assistant.

Also - I had mild pre-eclampsia with my first child and am concerned about that happening again...

ANY input would be so helpful! I can't seem to find any women in SF who aren't totally sold on your typical parking-lot epidural birth. :-)

Thanks!

What about Stephanie Brill from Maia Midwifery?
