Survivor watchers anonymous - Page 11

Nope, he isn't on the all-starts crew! Just Rupert from this show

Did anyone else find it annoying that they had the cast come to the reunion in replicas of the clothing they had originally started out in?

I thought it was rather cheesey :

I am so happy Sandra won!!!!!!! Wooo-hoo!!!

Excellent twist with the jury getting immunity!

Best quote was from Darrah: "I think its pretty funny that they think a physical threat is someone who weighs 60 pounds soaking wet". :LOL

The only kick a$$ thing Lil did the entire show was the final immunity challenge. I loved the way she handled Jon and hung in there hard. My money was on Sandra for that.

Did it drive anyone else insane the way Lil kept referring to herself as "Lillian Morris"? Ugh! Just that might have changed some votes, so annoying!

I missed the reuinion, was there anything good I should know about? Sounds like they talked to Jon's Gram, what did others say about that? Was the reuinion show mentioned at all? When does it start? I Must know!

adventuregirl, the next Survivor starts February 1st. I think it is going to be a really great one!

I was surprised no one was shocked at Jons lie! Crista even said she was disappointed she didn't think of it herself

skellebell, they usually have them in what they were wearing at the last council, but I think that without their luggage the clothes they stood in were just too beat up... and maybe they flat out refused to wear them! I think Lill should have worn something else. If I were she I would have tried to... after all the grief she got for the uniform. Which thankfully Jeff clearly thought was dumb as hell too.

I didn't think Lill could beat Sandra but I didn't know it would come down to "you lied and you're a scout" pout, pout, pout... mostly from the three former boyscouts! Rup, Burt and Ryan acted like Lill was their Mommy and ate all their Easter candy or something. It was really kind of embarrassing!

Osten came off as well as he could. Jon is an ass. Sean came off rather badly. Jon is an ass. Rupert still loves himself a little too much. Jon is an ass. I enjoy Sandra a lot and am happy for her.

Also, Jon is an ass.

But... he was one of the few people out there who (like Richard Hatch) knew it was a game and played it. He never took voting personally. All the talk of "back stabbing" and "betrayal" drives me nuts! It's a game, not a moral crucible! A big part of the game is lying and another big part is figuring out who is lying. It is really childish to get angry with someone for doing the first well just because you failed at the second!

Oh, and thank heavens they finally realised the extended vision quest/ arts and crafts segment is a big fat loser! Plant the torches, say a few words and then call in the pyro team!!! WwwOooooOooooo!

I have never posted to this thread so please forgive me for butting in after the finale, but I just have to ask: Was anyone else really glad that they skipped the cheesy Jeff flying, driving, boating, ... to get to "today?" I always hated that and dh and I were so happy that they just got to the votes this time.

Oh, and I also enjoyed watching Jeff's new little attitude!

Welcome dot... yes... I was pleased to skip the planes trains and automobiles montage! (I think they skipper it last season too, but I'm not sure.) This show was much tighter than previous ones, IMHO... maybe because they didn't just recently annoy us all by airing the waste of time clip show.

I am also in agreement with you about Jeffy-poo... I never liked slightly smarmy respectful Jeff, but I am loving snarky, eye-rolling Jeff!

I so wish they would just show the final vote results at the last tribal council...I know why they do it this way, but I still hate it.

Thank goodness we didn't have to see Jeff on a jetski this time, though :

Gee, kama, I never noticed that...I always thought they looked all gussied up in fancy threads/made up/hair styled at the reunion!

I'm thinking of Kathy from a few seasons back...at the reunion show she had on a chic (leather?) blazer and looked like a million bucks!

Didn't she? :

I expected a strong reaction from Lil, at least; remembering how she bawled in reaction to the "death" of Jon's g'ma and then snapped at Sandra for not handing the challenge over to Jon...

I'm disappointed that we didn't see a stronger reaction - positive or negative - from the group that was duped by the whole thing.

Gee SB... now I'm less sure. I think they aren't consistent. The first 7 to go show up in whatever and no one really cares about them anyway. But I know at least one time they tried to make it surprising when the camera pulled back and they were in the studio in NY rather than on the island. (I think it was Tiny/ Colby but not sure) and for that one they had them in the same clothes (the final 9) but they did let the final two be in CLEAN clothes and they were dolled up some. I don't even remember a Cathy, so that may be a season I took off.

I have a theory about that Astrid and SB. I think they were plenty shocked at home when they saw it... and probably mad as hell too. But of course by then they knew it hadn't gotten him in the final two and he wasn't going to win... so maybe cared a little less. Also they were home with their loved ones when they found out so the sting of how badly they wanted to see their loved ones that day was sort of distant. Most of all, I think some (all?) of them made the conscience decision not to give him the satisfaction of being shocked. Had I been in their shoes I would have shrugged and said "We all know Jon lies as a reflex and that he doesn't care about anyone else so this isn't a surprise" *shrug*

Well, that's what I meant...last night I was looking at Nicole...it looked like she had on that same tight strapless blue dress (but a diff necklace), Sandra definitely had the same outfit, and Rup (although he had on blue jeans, and his origs were black if I'm not mistaken), and Christa....do you think they actually replaced Andrew's Armani suit?!?

I do remember that Colby & Tina had on their same (icky-looking) clothes but were all dolled up....they looked ridiculous, IMO. I missed the first season....did they actually do the final vote on the island in that one? They've done it live ever since season two (Australia).

And how about Jon, coming to the final tribal council still attired in HIS yucky clothes? What was that all about??? And that moustache....

does anyone else think Darrah sounds like Maya Rudolph's schoolgirl character on Saturday Night Live? :LOL :LOL Just hit me last night.

Have there been any other Survivors where the remaining two did not set fire to their camp the last day? It seemed weird when Lil and Sandra just walked away from camp. But then Jeff said that authentic survivor things would be up for auction. Do you think that they were told not to burn everything down so that they could make some money off of the stuff? I have always remembered big Camp fires, but I haven't seen every season.

I am so glad Jon was not in the final 2, although I told my dh, if it was me, I would have taken him to be sure of winning the million. I think enough people hated him to vote for me. I was also really irritated with Lill continuing to refer to herself in the third person.
I can't wait for the all-star season. I heard they were gonna make it a 2 million $ reward. I also heard they had asked 2 people who declined to be on the all-star team. ANy one know who turned them down? I ALSO heard they were going to have 3 teams of 6 instead of 2 teams of 8. Sounds interesting.

On the clothing issue: I think Rupert's original jeans were dk blue, and looked black when wet.

In this case, I saw something on ET or somewhere, and there was an after party. The show had quick interviews with the final 3. Sandra was in a black low cut something, and she looked better than on the final show. I thought she looked so terrible at the reunion--straight hair and looking like she gained 20 lbs! What happened to the beautiful island girl? But in her black gown she looked good again, so maybe the lighting made her chin look so fat.

Jon had put on a tacky suit and looked bad as usual. He is an @$$. I wonder if he tortures small animals for fun IRL.

But Lill was still in the boy scout uniform, hat and all!!! Please Lillian, get a life! Creepy. It was always a relief on the show when she wore her duff as a tube top for a change.
