Everything!!

This has been a long time coming, but I am finally ready. I have developed, over the past few years, an allergy to *something* in one of my products. I have the most horribly itchy skin and I have started to rip it to shreds scratching myself. I am not using any new products that I can think of that would suddenly make it worse, but I have tried different things over the years. The skin on my hands last night was so tight and dry and red that I could hardly move my fingers. My legs are just a myriad of scars from scratching for so long. I still get quite a few pimples for my age, UGH, but if I use anything on my face for it, my skin turns bright red and it hurts for hours afterwards. I am officially itchy ALL over my body. I actually may go to a dermatologist sometime if we can afford it, but I am ready to switch to more natural products. I am sick of putting all these toxins on my skin.

I can't use anything that is scented because it literally kills me with pain, feels like acid burning my skin. I am seriously about ready to just stop bathing altogether and let my body go natural. But, I don't like to be stinky either, soooo....

I thought I would just see what everyone likes.

For:

laundry (front loader, high efficiency)
dish soap
hand soap
face lotion
hand/body lotion
deodorant
shampoo/conditioner

BTW, we do have hard water

Thank you all SO much!

You can check out Bubble and Bee Organics for deodorants, shower gels, lotion bars. Also Chagrin Valley makes shampoo bars and soaps, and also lotion bars (although not everyone's hair likes shampoo bars). Terressentials (very expensive) is nice. Baking soda and vinager work for shampoo/conditioner and for laundry. You can try detoxing your arm pits and not use deodorant (I did that for almost 2 years).

Try the skin deep database also: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/index.php?nothanks=1

You can't find things for laundry, dish soap, etc, but you can look at personal care items and see how toxic they are.

I'm sorry you're so itchy! I make an unscented, uncoloured, very gentle soap which a friend of mine uses on her daughter with eczema, and it's helped her a lot. If you PM me with your name and address, I'm happy to send you a free bar to try. Sherrie
