I can't seem to find one. I might be interested in making our own waffles, but not if teflon is involved. Anyone know a source?

hmmm...that might be just the ticket. What do you think? I'd be a little bit worried about batter oozing out of the sides, though.

I think that Lehman's one is the same as the first one on this page, though, and it and the other one are both MIC.

A quick google revealed that the person who writes this blog seems to like it:

I don't know her and haven't read her before for that matter, but I don't see why it wouldn't be truthful.

I have an old cast iron waffle maker by Griswold. As do my parents, sister, aunt & uncles...

We all love them.

Cast iron waffle maker are the best!

It's all we used at home growing up. We were given an electric nonstick one for a wedding present (in '79) used it for about a year & gave up waffle cause I couldn't stand the wimpy floppy ones it produced. I found a cast iron one at an antique store, brought it home, scrubbed & fired it clean, seasoned it & 25 years later -still using it.

Guess we like it

They look great! Unfortunately, so does all of the cast iron cookware !

Thanks for the info, and I second the Father's Day gift idea.
