Why my pediatrician is the coolest ever...

So our little one had a gunky eye. I was worried I'd need an antibiotic. He is only 9 days old. Pediatrician walks in tells me to massage his tearduct and squirt breastmilk in his eye 3 or 4 times a day. Worked like a charm. How many pediatricians would give you that advice. I love our ped.

Wow, yours is awesome!!! Mine gave us an antibiotic. I haven't really been using it though. I have squirked some breasmilk in her eye too! I think I will continue to do it now!!

Mine said the same thing and it worked like a charm I was shocked at how simple the solution was! And just the right price too! LOL

Yikes!! That's scary. Why did he suggest that?!

Rory had a plugged eye duct. I didn't even need to use BM, just a warm compress and firm but gentle wiping from the inside of the eye to the outside unplugged it.

Heck, I seem to do that anyway!!! Poor girl, I am always spraying her in the face! Darned overactive let down reflex!

(she still has a plugged duct, but it's no problem at this point . . . )

Passing through I saw your title and I was like 'my old ped was awesome too, I miss her' she would say something like that, then I saw you are in kirkland, my old ped was in redmond, so maybe its the same person. Honestly, the thing I missed perhaps most about moving was leaving her!
