Child Profile program in WA

I just received a mailing from the Washington State Department of Health that coincides with my LOs 15 month-hood.

In the envelope there was a pamphlet about Toddler nutrition (18-36 months). Under the "Is your toddler eating enough?" section they state:

"If you are breastfeeding, she is getting extra nourishment and comfort"

I'm so happy to see state information acknowledging the benefits of extended breastfeeding.

I've been generally in agreement with everything they've sent me, too. What a pleasant surprise.

I was going to post about this too! I just got done reading mine, and it talks about the AAP's recommendations about breastfeeding. It also explains how breast milk is all they need for the first six months, and not to introduce solids or cereal before then, because doing so could be harmful.

I'm sending it to my mom next! She's convinced he needs solids already (before 4 months).
