Hey just wanted to let everyone who is wondering and waiting for a return phone call from ALACE that they called me this morning.
They let me know that there will not be any new workshops to take for six months. Then after that they should be looking at setting up new workshops and working with people who want to sponser them. They took my name, address, and phone number for that reason. I also asked about their certification packet and how it works. I was wondering if I could purchase it and work on it now. She said no that the packet is given to you the day you take the workshop. She mentioned that I could work on the reading list and that if I'm already attending births that I can count three of the births I do prior to attending the class towards my certification. But three will have to be done after attending the class. She said I should take some notes of the births and include my role and what I gained from the birth. Thats about it except she said they are doing some restructuring of the classes and some things, and to please be patient with them. It took almost two whole months for them to call me back. So for those of you that are waiting, your day will come.
