Dun, dun, duhhhhhh......Maybe this will get labor going, LOL. It worked last time, so I'm pretty optimistic. I have to try everything before they induce me right?
I think it definitely helped me last time! I had it done and the person said it would work within 24-48 hrs....he was born just less than 48 hrs later. She was actually a friend of mine but has since moved away, otherwise I'd be going to see her! Good luck mama!
Have you tried blue and black cohosh? I haven't heard it mentioned here from anyone, although I know it's a pretty standard method. I took it kind of on a dare from a friend (funny story), not thinking it would work. It definitely did! My contractions started immediately after the first dose and I was in full blown labor after 4 doses (an hour apart). Baby was born 4 hours later.
so I am extremely crampy after my session and sweating tons! also up at 6am on sat to wash clothes...hmmm just wanted to compare notes. did your acu hurt at all? mine did. it doesn't usually (non pg acu) do rrl too. will move onto co-hosh next!
Nothing yet, but it can take up to 48 hours to work. Mine hurt a bit, it hurt really bad when he pt it in my left hand, so I must have had some pretty bad blocked qi there.
Squavine is just another uterine tonic t prepare the body for labor. ;0)
I just most of my plug this am and then more a bit ago. been crampy and resting. we will see! I think it's opening me up slowly. last time I lost my plug in active labor.
Just had my second 'let's get this baby out' acupuncture treatment today. 1st time had some really great pressure waves for like 3 hours after. This time - not really. He even used the little electrical gadget to zap the ones on my back and hands.
I have another appt on Monday just in case.
Let's go babies! Today is a GREAT day for a birthday!!!!!
I have a question... how does one go about finding an acupuncturist? Do they all do the induce-labor kind of acupuncture? Sorry if that is a stupid question...

Well it depends on what is important to you. It was important to me that the person had experience and was certified. I understand that doesn't necessarily make them better, but at least they had to have some examination. I got really lucky and found someone on the internet that was relatively close to us. He has been FANTASTIC. He is the reason we are pregnant - hopefully he will be the reason this baby comes out soon! Look for someone you feel comfortable with and trust. Acupuncture isn't something to mess around with - trust me.
I had a doc just down the street from me. I lucked out and he had a cancelation so I could get in. Still no labor for me though, I really hope its opened up some blocked qi though.
