I need to know the same thing. I am due in October and will be delivering in a military hospital. I am so worried they will vaccinate my baby even without my consent!
I hope someone has some tips!

From what I've seen in hospitals in GA - they have a form that they have you sign ALLOWING them to give the shot. They SHOULD NOT give the shot without your written permission.
That being said - it may be so routine to many nurses that they do it without even thinking. I would ask that they put a LARGE NOTE on my and my baby's charts that say DOES NOT WANT HEP B. That may be your best bet.
And just let it sound like you are just waiting until that first well baby check-up to start vaccines. That way, you just sound concerned, but not anti-vax (a thing that nurses are wary of and may prejudice them against you i.e. you're a lousy parent - right or wrong)
Hope that helps...just remember, that really can't DO ANYTHING to you without your permission unless it's a life or death situation and then they need to get a court order. DON't let anyone intimidate you.
Good luck!

when i had ds in 05 they started in on getting me to sign the form to allow the vax pretty much the minute we walked in the door. but once we firmly firmly told the that we would not be signing they laid off. the best thing tdo is to keep baby in you arms at all times. no body takes baby anywhere w/o you or daddy. you may have much better luckor less hassle in a birthing center though. are you using the one in savannna?
No
Im using the one in Tallahassee FL, if my username is different its because I couldnt remember my username and had to create a new one.....

Not vaxing in GA
Gave birth to my son in GA; Did not vax and will not vax...tell me where you are and I might be able to help you on peds etc. we have run the gamut. The main thing is inform yourself as to your rights...GA is insistent on vax and you have to know your rights. You DO NOT have to vax, and at pre-registering and at birth you just tell them you are waiting on that...that quiets them, then have your sig other follow them everywhere they take ds/dd as soon as he is born...we would not allow silver nitrate to be put in his eyes (anti ointment only) no circumcision (that was more eyebrow raising there than anything) so my husband followed him into even the bathing area. We did allow a vit K shot which sent him immediately into jaundice and I would NEVER allow that again. Anyway, you must get up every bit of backbone you ever thought you had and say NO in a informed way. Remember you are his/her only advocate. My son is 9 now and not vaxed, not circumcised and stronger, healthier and smarter than most of his peers...I honestly think the not vaxing has made the difference.
The biggest help has been homeopathy. You are very luck there, there is a company called Newton Homeopathics in Conyers, GA that is unbelievable. They have the no guess tinctures that can get you over so many problems and have classically trained homeopaths there to help.
My mail is Zemindar1@aol.com if I can help
