is it safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding? most of what i have read says it is not but one of the assistant's at the midwifery practice i am going to recommended i use it to help with the cold i am dealing with right now.

If you read in reliable places this is an herb to not take during pregnancy or the trimester you are in, DO NOT take it and question the midwife.
She could have made a mistake.
If the recommendation is not a mistake ask her why she thinks it's safe?

I had an assistant midwife suggest it to me for thrush. Went and picked up the bottle and put it straight back down in the shop. That must be why. Hrmmm. I'll have to talk to that lady.
