What do your kids eat off of (need nonbreakable suggestions)

We've been using glass and my kids usually don't break them, but my 2.5 year old has had a couple accidents. It's not a huge pain to clean and they are cheap, but I'm thinking he could use something else. I bought a little sanctus mundo set for my baby, but they're kinda pricey. I want to avoid plastic, or at least made in china plastic.

Ideas? brands?

We use Corelle (corelle.com) for DS1. Their stuff is glass but tempered to be break/chip resistant. We've been using our set of Corelleware for almost 10 years and have yet to chip/break anything. DS1 is 2.5yo and he has never broken a thing and it's really lightweight. Made by the same people as pyrex & corningware.

Stainless? Enamelware? Wood? Antique silver cups? Bamboo? There are lots of alternatives. We gave up our plastic tableware a few months ago, and found so many neat things to use instead once we started looking. Throwing away the plastic first makes you look pretty hard for something else!

Wood and bamboo stuff is pretty easy to find now. I like the stuff at Target.

We use glass and china day to day, but for younger visitors and for outside in the summer I found wooden plates made by a local woodworker. He had them on display at our local forest visitor's center and I snapped up all the ones roughly the same size (on two separate occasions). He makes them from fallen local trees, so they're all different and have proven sturdy. A one-off I know, but there are a lot of hobby woodworkers around so something to look out for as craft show season kicks in.

I also have used Correlle for my kids. I recently dug up some small sized stainless steel bowls I had tucked in the basement to use also.

I really love the Sanctus Mundo stuff too. I wish I could find a co-op for some of it! It's really nice looking, but yeah, kind of pricey.

We use stainless steel plates and cups that I bought in the camping section at Academy. Been using them for a couple of years now and LOVE them.

Corelle here too. I got the plain 8 piece setting for like 40 bucks. My granny has the same set and has been using it since I was a little one.

Our Corelle Exploded

We had some problems with our Corelle exploding. I don't think it happens a lot, and our blew up in the sink, but I've talked to other people who had far scarier stories, and when I called the company their answer was vague (though they admitted that it explodes sometimes).

We've got a bunch of camping dishes, which the kids like... though the kids use glass and stoneware as well.

We have wooden bowls. The brand is Tree Spirit. They are very nice.
