I must have missed the part about having your own photo on the map. I didn't do that. Is that okay?

I'm glad it isn't necessary, because I don't think I have any room for it.

I just refuse to believe all this stuff that feels negative is NOT just the setting up for amazing things this year. It just HAS to be the storm before the calm LOL!

Thanks again for the boost! I needed it!

Like I said I gave away the thin clothes and the diet happened about two months later. Just see if you don't have some magical moments come into your life.. in my case I had a friend who brought up my weight (after I gave away the clothes) and said, "why don't you call our doctor?" We have the same general practitioner, at first I blew it off..but then I had to see him about something else and I remembered her words and I asked him, "Do you have any suggestions for weight loss?" And he told me to call a doctor's office that had a weight management team attached to them. I went to the office and that was when I began. Basically it is like Weight Watchers. Their food, weekly weigh ins. 1 hour lectures. Support. Write down everything that is eaten every day... and slowly. Probably 1 to 2 pounds a week. 9 months later I lost the 47 pounds (that I gained between 2003-2006).
It is has been almost a year and I'm still down 42 of those pounds. I have a lot of skills I learned from them that I put in practice. And now I call in once a week with a check in..again discuss how much I ate and exercised every day.

If you want to start somewhere. Get one of those Calorie counter books and write down what you eat every day. Just for a week. Take a look.

And watch who comes into your world. You may have someone say, "Do you want to be my walking buddy?" or "Hey do you want to join Weight Watchers with me?"

Be prepared --the new body is coming!
Thanks. I can feel it coming. I have my walking buddy (either a person or a book on my iPod) and I've made some changes to my diet and now there is all space in my closet for lovely flattering clothes that fit me and my new body!

foam core? paper on both sides with foam in the middle?

If so, then yes.

Otherwise, I don't know.

I believe this is the actual site you need to go to to view the video about breaking cravings

I checked it out (half heartedly).

You need a user name and password. I thought I created one fore everyone to use - but you need to use an email address as the user name. Bummer.

I have been making "vision boards" off and on for about 7 years. Last year I saw this thread --I hadn't known there was a "best" date to do the board, so I was excited to see if it would give the board an extra boost. Well, last year was the most disappointing year for my board ever. Quite a crappy year. Of the 9 things I focused on, only 2 were manifested, and the others completely flopped.

So this year I was not going to worry about the actual "date" and just do a board when I felt like it. Lo and behold, yesterday I felt like it was right. I pulled it together fairly quickly. When I looked at it, I was surprised that the things I THOUGHT I would put on it, were barely shown. The two main themes were family travel, and health for me. It's odd, because we already do travel a lot, and I am already healthy. So I was thinking, "huh"?

Anyway. . . . today, less than 24 hours after finishing. . . . DH calls me and says he has a client who wants to pay his way over, provide housing, and provide an allowance to bring his family. . . to AUSTRALIA for 6 weeks this summer. Yoo hoo!!!!!!!!!

And looking at my map, the family travel section that is about 1/4 of the board has only two beautiful images under the words -- one of a desert, and one of a penguin. Australia has both!!!

Still not sure what the whole health focus is. . . but I guess I'll find out!

Well, I made my treasure map. It's all hand drawn. I think it looks pretty good since I am not much of an artist. It's different from what others have done but it makes me happy.

Tracy, fek&fuzz, and anyone else interested in losing weight...
The current issue of Weight Watchers magazine reminded me of this thread. There is an article about decluttering your mind and your stuff. They also used lots of orange which made me think of Tracy.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

One thing I've started doing is cleaning my kitchen before I go to bed every night. (I have a tiny kitchen with just a bit of counter space so anything left out means there's no room.) It's a nice ritual and it means that in the mornings there is lots of space for me to prepare my lunch. And I think that leads to being more mindful about food, and means I have lots more veggies for lunch since I have room to prepare them.

And my walking buddy and I have actually started walking together! Sometimes she has court early so she'll call and we'll chat while I walk, other times we meet and actually walk together.

This will be a great year!

Let Tracy chime in but I think she might say something along the lines of....

I would try to make between now and the full moon which is the 20th. If that is not possible, try to do it before the full moon is over and the moon starts waning. The full moon ends on 24th.

Thank you, Good Cents.
Yes, between now and the 20th is ideal.
If you can't do it by then then yes, the 24th.

I spent a few hours cleaning my house yesterday and I don't feel emotionally exhausted like normal, i feel really good and I made a huge difference. Today I will tackle some more because the more I clean the more I see that needs it. I have some projects I want to do but I'm going to make myself do the kitchen because when it's neat I cook much better meals.

Work seems to be opening up for my husband with lots of options.

We had three days os lovely weather where i planted a few flowers and some early vegi's as well as did some yard clean up.

On Monday for the first time ever I went out to lunch with my MIL and my SIL's and we had a really nice time. I actually enjoyed being with them and we don't always get along real well. I was able to leave all three kids happily with a friend and relax.

My relationship with my husband and kids has been really good and I've noticed little good things creeping into our everyday lives.

Overall I am feeling very good.

And having a clean home leaves me more time to spend with my children
