I only have a second. I'm supposed to be asleep but I'm sneaking on the computer and my husband is going to kill me if he finds out.

A few moms were asking about BFing and colic, food allergies, etc...I found this article very helpful. Not necessarily TF with the food recs, but very close. Up the fats like crazy, mamas...

He's coming (DH!!!)

I wish I had this article a few years ago when I was trying to figure out why my ds had green poops. It lasted for several weeks (I think he was around 6 months), and I did eventually figure out it was because of an imbalance between foremilk and hindmilk, but even at LLL meetings, people did not know about this, and thought I was off base when I said ds wasn't getting enough fat in my milk. Nursing on one side at a time helped... also expressing some milk before feeding him. I think I had oversupply on one side especially, as he was fussing at the breast a lot at this time, and refusing my right breast sometimes. I think my letdown was choking him, and he became fearful. It was a very frustrating time. I ended up nursing him in all sorts of strange positions (like sitting upon my knee facing me) since he would refuse to nurse in the "classic position". He would fuss to nurse, and then pull off and cry. It was really annoying when people would say "when he's hungry, he'll eat", as if I was forcing food on him when he wasn't hungry! I KNEW when baby was hungry! He was obviously(to me) conflicted about nursing during this time.
