Green Living Trendy

Has anyone else noticed that green living has become really trendy lately? I have noticed it gaining popularity in the past few years, but boy it's really taking off.

That's a great thing though! It is becoming very popular.

I hope it's not just a trend! I love that my DH finally let go of his need for paper towels this year! I love, love, love using the sun and air to dry my clothes, and many of the soaps and household products I have always loved are a little bit cheaper these days!

I agree and I love it!

High prices on gas, fuel oil, food, etc are forcing people who may not have otherwise made "green" decisions to go green.

Riding bikes and walking more instead of using costly gas
Taking shorter showers
Line drying clothes
Buying used clothing
Freecycling
You all know the drill...

Anything that makes my world a little cleaner is great with me. :

Yes! Green living needs to be trendy! I hope, though, that people don't get confused between green living and green consumerism. That part of it drives me crazy.

I know! Since the 'fad' my friends and family are starting to buy me clothes and bags that say things like "save the world" or "I love the earth" where they made fun of me before they're supporting me now? Its crazy! I hope it doesn't stop!

I worry that it could be a trend rather than a true lifestyle revolution. I hope not though!

I hope it becomes the norm. I'm hoping in 3-5 yrs when we're ready to build our house that green homes are more common (and not so crazy expensive).

I've noticed, and I love it! My mom actually pointed it out to me, bless her heart. She's always tried to support my green side even though she doesn't really subscribe herself. BUT, she did say she tried some of the new Clorox Green line and loves it, so maybe there is hope after all.

Green is IN! Finally, maybe I can be one of the cool kids!

: How cool would that be?!

And I don't care if it's a fad or not. Even if it's a fad, for a short time people will be wasting less, and that's better than people never reducing at all, kwim? Of course it would be best if this is the way things will be from now on!
