Twinges in lower abdomen?

I can't remember ever feeling this with ds. I'm so early but have these twinges on and off very occasionally throughout the day. The twinges are there not exactly painful but while sitting or walking I can feel it. What are they?
Really the frist feelings I got with ds was when he was fluttering around when he was several months old in utero, although I can't remember the exact month.

I've had loads of twinges since 7dpo. It's perfectly normal.

Other than a higher bbd than normal and fatigue, these twinges are my main pregnancy "symptom." I like being reassured that I have still pregnant I've read in numerous places that they are normal; if they are accompanied by bleeding (heavy) then consult your midwife/ob.

From what I have read they are caused by your baby making space for itself; pretty cool, huh?

I am having serious twinges myself, especially when I am thinking about or focusing on my pregnancy. I think it's part of some lower-abdominal weakness I've always struggled with, suddenly needing to be both soft and strong.

I have them too, and I agree its one of my more prominent symptoms of being pregnant. I've started to become exhausted though, I actually took a nap today, which I NEVER do.

Me too. These twinges were the first symptom in my last pregnancy and this one as well. Starting just a few days after conception. I get little twinges in the uterus and very mild cramping in my cervix. I like it too, I feel like my uterus is saying hello baby!

Me too. Nothing like the onset of my menstrual cramps, well, same location but a totally different feeling. Very mild and low.

Perfectly normal. I have them, I like to describe them to people that "I feel a lot of stuff going on down there" That's basically what it is.

I've been getting them too—as well as very light cramps. It sort of feels weird, something between a tiny construction crew in my uterus and like someone is pulling on my insides like salt water taffy. I think what causes it is the uterus growing and prepping for motherhood.

Do they especially happen when you move from one position after being still for a while?

I get those too, and my midwife told me that it is normal, that the ligaments around your uterus are stretching. I even get them sometimes when I sneeze!

Don't worry at all about it, it's totally normal. Sometimes it helps if you feel a sneese coming on to press on your lower abdomen. It may sound crazy but it prevents the pinchy feeling for me!

I've been getting these since 10dpo, and yes, they're strongest when I move from one position to another. When I get up from my desk at work, it's almost painful.

It sounds like round ligament pain to me.

I have them, too, and I find it reassuring. Somethin's happening.

i find them reassuring too, mildly amusing, not painful. i did have some mild cramping last week (around when i would have started)... that was more annoying.

i just figured everything down there was gearing up for expansion!

Oh yeah...me too! At 7DPO I got some pretty severe cramping that lasted only about a minute or so...implantation now that I think about it I guess. Then around 10DPO...I started getting what I could only explain as intermitent twingy cramps. The cramps intensified as I got closer to when my period was due...but they would only come and go. I do like the Fraggle Rock analogy though. That's hilarious!! :
