Our daughter Zephyr was born this morning 04.07.08 at 9:09am at home after a very quick labor and a very long pushing stage-I pushed for 4 hours because Zephyr was presenting asynclitic or chin up and wanted to hang out in the birth canal for four hours! She was happy as a clam the whole time and had fabulous heartrate etc so it was definitely no emergency although my vagina has certainly seen better days! :LOL
The birth was nothing like I had pictured but it was awesome in the truest sense of the word. She was not waterborn as we had hoped since I had to push in every position ever invented, but the water was phenomenal to labor in.
I will post a birth story after we babymoon for a bit with all the details. Happy birthing vibes to everyone still waiting!
Oh and she is a champion nurser and veryvery calm and alert with loads of thick dark hair which shocks this thin haired blond mama!
