placenta birthed?

has she tried to go pee? Is her uterus contracting well, baby nursing? Perhaps there is a bit of placenta or clot still attatched and letting some blood through. This happened to me with dd. Peeing could help.

Baby breastfeeding well? Put baby to breast at very least and let her snuggle. Try some nipple stim to help the uterus contract?

Also, it could be a tear bleeding, not her uterus. Have you checked for tears?

By the way, congrats on the baby!

yes placenta birth as did the previous two all is well there

I hope the bleeding stops soon. I've read that affirmations can help stop it. If it's an internal tear you can try pressing it with gauze. Do keep an eye on it though, trickles of bleeding can lead to problems if not addressed.

P.S. Congratulations!

that's what I thought when I purveyed my own birth "aftermath".

Don't forget the maternal side of the placenta if you can't find the SP or it doesn't work (? I know little of herbs so I'm not qualified to say it will work or not).

yeah, my poor DH had blood smeared down the walls in the hall from trying to carry my pallete to the basement to wash. we figured uf the neighbors heard me birthing and then saw the scene, they would think there'd been a crime commited.

check for external tears. if it isn't longer than an inch or so, have Amy keep her legs together to help the tear start to mend. If it is an internal one, like the cervix, it may keep bleeding, but by now, 12:11 pm est, it should be stopped. if internal, you may need to take her in, or call a local mw for stitching.

Congrats to both of you Amy and Greg! also you might x-post ?s over in Birth Professionals. Are you applying pressure to her lower abdomen? This can help the uterus contrat a bit. Maybe also get her some Floradix tomorrow to replace iron. She'll feel better faster.

Congratulations on the baby!

I also loved the CSI version of clean up! I will have to remember that with my birth. My childen (who love to watch CSI with me) will think it funny to refer to it as a crime scene! But boy, will they look at it in a new light.

Hope the bleeding had stopped by now.

hey all is well here she is just exhausted now. she is feet up reclining and things are getting back to normal...uterus et al....

The girls love having a new bb sister....

so thanks to all for the help and amyjean will be back shortly...

UC/UP is the best solution when you r thinking about having babies it is the most fundamentally important education you will get...even if your birth choice moves in a different direction....

that is my 2 cents worth...now back to the battling girls... they brawl worse than my brothers and I did....

I know why this is not fathering.com

love to all the last three uc/up have been a miraculous journey
