Cashmere Diaper Covers????

I have some old worn-out cashmere sweaters, can I make diaper covers out of them? And, how exactly would you recommend going about that? Should I try to felt them first?

They make great day covers. I usually felt mine first and then re-lanolize them.

Yep, we've got quite a few pair of cashemere shorts. They are so soft and scrummy, and they wear well too!! I washed in the washer on hot 2 or 3 times before I sewed them up, and they haven't shrunk.

I made a pair of longies from an old cashmere sweater. I didn't felt it, and it works surprisingly well! I agree that cashmere wears really well, too. Amazing stuff.

I was really surprised at how well cashmere works for diaper covers! My sweet lil' one's butt is covered in luxury when she wears them! I agree that they are best used for day time wear unless you make them double layered. I'm really addicted to making them now--they are my favorite wool material to work with!

Here is my latest creation; just perfect for the upcoming summer!
