the buzz on the street (ok, on the no impact man blog ) is that it's *actually* ok. And the sierra club jumped on board and is promoting the greenworks products... so it's a maybe. I'll stick w/my vinegar and baking soda, though, thanks.

My initial reaction was the same as yours, but then I broke down and got the toilet cleaner when I saw it on sale at our local supermarket. According to the label, there is NO yuck stuff, but the smell just isn't quite right. I am super sensitive to smells, so that could be just me. But I don't think I will be a repeat buyer.

I agree. The color and the smell threw me off. It may be "green" but it sure is a funky color! I have old toilets and it didn't do a whole lot for them. I do better with EO's, BS, vinegar and Dr. Bronners. Cheaper too!!

I broke down and bought some b/c I needed cleaner and HEB was out of Simple Green and I didn't want to go to another store.
It smelled okay and worked fine.
But it cost the same as a bottle of Simple Green, which, since you have to dilute it, winds up making a TON more cleaner. Effectively, the Chlorox Green cost many times what Simple Green costs, once you dilute it. This means the level of packaging per use is much higher than for Simple Green, as well.
I dunno...part of me doesn't want to support Chlorox. Another part of me wants to reward them for their move in a green direction. But Simple Green smells better, costs less, and uses less packaging, so I'm sticking with that.

THAT STUFF STILL HAS CHEMICALS!!!! I read the labels and Laughed-MAO! They are trying to fool us!!!! Sorry but NOT ME! We have a great market pulling out a Greenwise brand and they have THIS!!!!!!
It's great for clothes (whites and color) and cleaning! IT WORKS it just needs a little elbow grease but who cares!
edited to add: I use peroxide on a spray bottle and some peppermint Dr. bronner's. It cleans so well and leave a nice minty smell in my house... I use even in my carpet for spot cleaning, it cleans the darkest spot around!
