and it's just recent. I kept waking up with my throat swelling and not being able to breathe well!!!! EEK. I've always had issues with tomatoes, but little blisters, no problem. Not breathing, big problem.

funny thing , I used to get "tingly feeling" in my mouth /throat from eggplant. Now I don't touch eggplant, even though dh and dd looove babaganoush.
Ithink eggplant and tomatoes are from the same family, nightshade vegetables, I also love tomatoes:
ds was (maybe still is somewhat) allergic to tomato but if he has some
pasta sauce or other cooked tomato stuff once in a while he doesn't seem to react
