Eleanore Rae was born April 6 at 3:20 pm. 7 lbs, 20 inches. It was the exact opposite of the birth I wanted to have, but she is perfect anyway.
I started contracting at 2:15 am April 5th, and contracted all day long until they were 3 minutes apart around 8 pm. We checked into the hospital a little after 9 and I was 4 cm. An hour later my water broke and I was 5, but by 3:00 pm on April 6th, I was still not past 6, even though I'd been given more and more and more pitocin for the last 6 hours, as well as tried every position we could. At that point I just couldn't take the pain anymore. (and 4 hours before, the OB on call walked in and said I needed a c-section then, but we disuaded him). So, we ended up with a c-section because the baby's heartrate started dropping, and she had just taken her first poo in the womb.
Regardless of how stubborn she is, she's still beautiful. She's nursing well. We had some issues with latch last night, but she's been doing well today.

I'm sorry you didn't have the birth you wanted. I'm glad she is perfect and you are all doing well, though!
