California Baby De-Tangler

Should I be worried about the silica in DD's California Baby De-Tangler Spray? I bought this for her to use because the Johnson & Johnson's No More Tangles was giving her a rash, but the cosmetics database rates it at a 5 (the same level as the J&J one) because of the silica in it!

Is there a "safer" de-tangler spray that you have used for your children? (I see that the Nature's Baby Organics and Healing-Scents Herbal Essences de-tanglers have low ratings in the database, but I have never seen these in my local store...)

I haven't used the detangler but I use the Super Sensitive body wash/ shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner can be rinsed out or left in. When I use it as a leave in it seems to get through tangles pretty good.

I wet DD's hair down in the morning with water and some conditioner and comb it out and then I rub some shea butter on my hands and give her hair a scrunch.

You can always put a bit of conditioner in a spray bottle with some water and make your own detangler that way. I did that and it worked great until my eyes started reacting to it. Now I just apply the conditioner manually.

I used to do this all the time. Especially for at the beach to tame the salt water hair. Much cheaper too!
