There was an article in suffolk life (NY) today "Who Gets To Decide If Children Are Vaccinated?" about a couple, Ron and Rita Palma, who requested a religious exemption from the Bayport-Blue Point School District, for there son attending the elementary school, and they were denied. they then went thru the entire appeal process with the interviews to question their religious beliefs - they are roman catholic - and they were denied. they are now appealing the New York Supreme Court w/ the help of the NY civil liberties union. The mom said shes considering taking it to the us supreme court if denied once again. I wish i could post a link to the story, but i went the website and couldnt find the article there (its a small local newspaper). But i thought it was worth mentioning. Maybe Ill scan it and post it.
I just think parents are getting tired of getting pushed around, and it seems that this is a hot topic nowadays.
