SW Georgia (Albany)! Can you imagine??? I get to be Ramona, though! (or whatever crazy-woman's name is) I thought I'd die laughing the other night when her daughter said that her mom tries to dress too young and basically ends up looking stupid. I cannot imagine sitting with a group of women on national television and watching videos of myself looking like she does and not wanting to crawl into a hole and hide forever!!!! THis show has made me really appreciate my frumpy, simple, green and very happy life!!!

Oh, I just caught a rerun of the finale - OMG. I could only watch a tiny bit before it just becoming too much.

I agree, I like the OC ladies a bit better. Not as full of themselves.

my thoughts on it are mixed. the only one I 100% did not like was Ramona. At first, I could not believe Alex & her husband, but over time, I saw that they were good, if misguided people, even if I disagree w/ their priorities in life.

I wonder- for the people who like the OC women better, are you from the east, west, or midwest? I'm from the east coast and I like the NYC women infinitely better, but it might just be a regional thing where I relate more to that type of snobbiness than I do to the extreme behavior of the OC ladies. I was always shocked by the behavior, clothing, and lifestyle in the OC, whereas the NYC ladies seemed (again, except Ramona) more classy, subtle, and tasteful in their homes and style, and personalities. I really admired the Countess' demeanor, not so much because I like stuffy manners but because she could react smoothly in any situation

I'm an east coaster/former new yorker, and now live in SoCal-and the OC women grate on my nerves. They seem more shallow. And I can't stomach those heinous bejeweled tops they all wear.

I have little in common with the either group of housewives but assuming I was wealthy I could see myself being friends with Jill and/or Bethenny. I don't think I would be friends with any of the ladies from the Orange County show. I'm just not a bikini wearing blonde outdoorsy person. I prefer the style, look, and activities in NYC.
