I will add another voice encouraging the Sears book. It can address the questions in the "language" that conservative Christians are likely to relate to.dh and I are not conservative by any stretch of the imagination, but we read it when our children were babies so we could have conversations with the very conservative members of our family in a way that they would "respect." We even gave it to one of his siblings. I don't think they agree with it, but they get where we are coming from in a way that they wouldn't if we hadn't used a book that appeals to their theology.
