Free formula in the mail...aggggh

I don't know what mailing list I am on or how this happened, but I am one pissy mama-to-be!

I just went to get the mail, and what do I find? A box with two free cans of Similac, a ton of coupons, and an offer to join their club. ARGHGHGHGH!

How can I go about finding what mailing list I'm on to have gotten this?

Have you bought anything at Motherhood Maternity stores?

They are the worst about this!

Also, if you have registered at your hospital it's a good chance they did it. I know mine did.

Yep, it was Motherhood.

I just called the 800 number from the "club's" website and asked which list this came from and if they could remove me. To their credit, the woman was EXTREMELY nice and apologetic about it and told me straight away which mailing list it was from. I got the feeling that I wasn't the first to have called about it.

I knew I'd regret getting on their list! When I was newly pregnant, I went into the Motherhood store to get a belly band and was bombarded with the mailing list questions. My partner and I are pretty easy going types, but we were both really taken aback by the manner in which it was done and the questions involved. Some of them were a bit personal, and frankly we'd only just found we were pregnant anyway! We started calling it the "how-big-is-your-*****-store" after that day because it just felt so intrusive! :

And of course now I'm doubly peeved because one of the questions was about feeding, and my answer was breastfeeding - and yet I still got formula in the mail!

Argh!

Of course they sent you formula samples BECAUSE you said you plan to BF. If you had told them that they already had your "vote," that is your $$$$$, they wouldn't have needed to convert you.
