your biggest food aversion?

Mine is eggs. The thought of cooking or eating an egg right now is nauseating, just like with my last pregnancy. Blech.

What's yours?:

Oh well....the list is LONG for me.

I have hyper-emesis so I have MULTIPLE foods from each pregnancy that I can no longer eat. It is very hard when you lose entire food groups.

Funny thing was with this one.....I KNEW I was preggo because I had a craving for a food aversion I have had from almost 12 yrs....since my first.

I was craving twizzlers.

For me...almost all food is an aversion. Very few things I actually WANT to eat.

I will second that... I haven't felt sick at all until a couple days ago. Now the thought of any and all food makes me want to vomit (haven't yet though!!). The strange thing is that once I force myself to start eating I actually feel fine... then afterwards as I think about what I ate I feel vomit-tastic again. Still haven't seen anything come back up but for a gal who looooves to eat this is pretty tragic!

Red meat...the thought makes me feel very queasy, although I feel better if I can find an appetizing way to eat it. I had the very same thing when I was pregnant with DD. I have no idea why, I've never had the slightest leanings toward being vegetarian and I've always eaten a ton of red meat

I'm with Starfish11 all I do is eat eat eat. I've already gained at least 5 pounds. I'm going to be as big as a house. I figure if I was nauseated at least it would even out, but NO! Just eat eat eat.

I'm icked out by yogurt, and chicken. Eating protein frequently really helps me not feel yucky or nauseated.

I'm going to order the nausea CD from hypnobabies this week, too.

I'll third it, and I'm SO with you. This is exactly what I'm going through, though my major aversion is probably any kind of vegetable. I can't even handle the thought of them.

Donuts sound kinda good today though

Ditto that! No veggies here, although I have managed to sneak kale into a smoothie and that is ok.

I went to costco yesterday and bought anything that looked appetizing. That would be mozzarella sticks, spring rolls and canned peaches. Then today I had a root beer cause it sounded SOOO good!

Me too. This, in fact, is the reason my DH insisted that we go out and buy a pregnancy test even though I insisted it was likely as not too early. Turns out he was right. I'm not sure if the hunger has eased up a little or if I've just gotten into the habit of eating more so that I don't find myself desperately hungry 10 minutes later. I'm just hoping this isn't my body storing up reserves so I can puke my guts out for the next month.

In fact, I've found myself eating several things that I wouldn't normally enjoy and thinking "this isn't so bad"--but I have yet to find the opposite experience. I like to pretend I'm showing, but I know better.

Up until yesterday I was eating anything and everything... don't know if I gained yet because I don't have a scale, but I do know that as of today I want nothing to do with chicken.

unfortunately, nothing sounds good to me these days. i have to force myself to eat because i'm nauseous all the time, and it's worse when my stomach is empty. oddly, eggs & meat are more appealing than other things -- and apples are the best thing.

i'm a little stressed about the eating thing because i'm already slightly underweight, and i'm breastfeeding DD2, who is nursing like a fiend around the clock.

i normally loooooove to eat : and to cook, so i find this all quite distressing.

New aversion... ugh Mexican food.... I usually love it, right now the thought of it is just appalling. I have some black beans in the fridge that I made last night and just knowing they are there is making me want to hurl.

I'm generally not interested in any food except white bread which is difficult because I'm gluten-free.

I do find though that if I don't think about it and just eat what's in front of me, then it's actually fine. It's when I think about food that the problem arises.

Fish though, I don't think I'll ever eat again!
