think i'm sick

nausea
dizziness
headache

a tylenol will lessen the symptoms but they come back full force. called midwife who didn't call back. i think i'm going to head to the er in the morning.

Eeek!

The two things that come to mind are: mastitis, and sepsis due to retained placenta. The second really shouldn't be an issue... because the MW should have examined the placenta and ensured that it had all come out intact. But she really ought to call you back!

How's nursing going? Any chance it's mastitis?

This is just how I felt sans headache! Dont rule out early mastitis even if your boobs arent really sore!

All my symptoms are gone this morning except for this weird pain in my lower right side. The pain was really bad while lying in bed but is barely noticeable now that I'm up.

Nursing is great, no problems there. The placenta was yanked out by two arguing midwives (student and teacher) and then the teacher just left instead of examining it despite the comment "it looks pretty ragged".

I think I'm just going to wait it out for a bit. If the pain gets worse or the fever comes back I'll go in.
