How quickly is everyone going? I am not sure i want to rush off to see my midwife just yet. I guess I am really ready to 100% admit I am preggo again.

So....has everyone already made their first appts? Had their first appt?

I guess my first pre-natal was 12 hours after my BFP due to the nature of my pg.

But I am hoping that it will be my last as I "hope" to UP...we will see.

My finger are crossed for your UP. I would love to make that possible for myself. I just get too sick. I am really hoping to make it atleast without needing Zofran or any IV's this time.

i'm an american living in India and I asked my neighbor about this, and she said some indian women don't go to see a doctor until 5-6 months. So I think I'll wait a while... not sure until when though!

I've been to see my GP and had some blood tests but other than that, I won't be seeing anyone until 12 weeks. We've no reason to believe I'm high risk and in the public system here, you aren't seen by your midwives or OB until 12 weeks. Prior to that, you just refer to your GP with any questions or problems.

Since I have about a 4-week span (late Feb to late March) when conception could have happened, I really need a dating ultrasound! I've got an appt with my midwives next Thursday, although I wish it was earlier, and I really hope they'll do the u/s that day.

I am still nursing my toddler and had not had AF, so there's no telling what's going on in there. I'm terrified, as i've heard it's best to have at least one AF to let your body sort it all out. I'm scared of twins, chemical, molar, all that. Eep.

Fingers crossed for you!

I don't know that I could wait 5-6 months!!! Wow, those women are patient!

I had my first intake appt on Friday. I had blood drawn and they took both of our histories. I have to admit that it felt like a waste of time

I have talked and see my midwives but we are friends and it really wasn't an appointment I just got my progesterone from them. I will make a really appointment around 12 weeks. Oh I can't wait!!!

My MW said she wanted to see me around 10-12 weeks.

My wonderful m/w doesn't do VBACS so we
1. interviewed a HB mw on Thursday. She was great I just think I'm to scared to do it at home again
2. Have interview this Wednesday w/ ob who delivered Bryce. We liked him and he does VBACS.
3. Have an interview next Wednesday with a group of midwives who deliver at a hospital.
4. Left a message for a mw who has own practice that delivers at a hospital.

Hoping to have it figured out by week 8. I really want to see/ hear the lo.

I just called the Dr.'s office in my area who I've heard great things about and does VBAC's. I can go to my intake appt. with the nurse and give my hx and do a few test whenever I want. Although I'm in no hurry, the appt. is around 7:30 am and it's a 30 minute drive. Also, I want to make sure that I want to go with that practice before I go in. They said I'd see the Dr. around 12-14 weeks so I'm excited for that so I can hear the babe's heartbeat.
With ds I couldn't wait to see the midwives and I thought it was crazy they made me wait until I was 8 wks along before my first appt. But, really other than listening to the babe's heartbeat and of course the optional u/s at 20 wks. seems like lots of urine tests.

I'm going in early May for my 8-week visit. Don't know what will happen, but it should be interesting as it'll be our first checkup at a birth center.

i have a silly "first appointment" for bloodwork and paperwork on the 24th, which is later than i would've liked. but then i have to make a seperate appt with my midwife after that, so i am guessing i will end up actually being "seen" around the 8wk mark. i am high risk so i am kinda surprised they're not hussling me in there, so we'll see.

I'm going to a "meet and greet" tomorrow and if everything goes well, I guess I'll set up my first appointment. I need to work on my list of questions, or, go digging in a box to find the questions from my last pregnancy 4.5 years ago.

I have my first appt at the GP practice next week (I'll be 6.5 weeks). I remember last time it being a waste of time, but this time I'm planning on prepping them early with my plans to HBAC. I'm going to see if they'd rather me meet with consultants at the hospital instead of the midwives at the practice, because I know they aren't going to have a clue what to do about me! There is a great consultant at the hospital who I'm praying will be supportive of my plans and be able to help me find an NHS midwife who is capable of handling a HBAC.

Otherwise... I might need to hire my independent midwife again and see if she'll accept payments spread over the next five years or something!!!

I saw my GP last Monday, and that was silly. Just a urine test and her telling me that early pregnancies end in MCs 40-50% of the time. :

I'll be going to the ob/gyn clinic next week -- they like to see ladies at 6 1/2 to 7 weeks from the first day of the cycle -- and have my blood work and such done. I'll talk with them about midwives they work with and birthing options through them, and then start midwife shopping.

I've got an appointment today. I think that they said they were just going to confirm the pg when I set it up. It's pretty confirmed since I had a blood test weeks ago, and I've been feeling sick/exhausted for almost a month. I used the same OB last time, but I didn't start going there until we moved here at 24 weeks or so, so I'm not sure what he does for early prenatals.

I'm kind of hoping they are going to do an u/s as I am not sure of the due date and would love to know at some point. lol

I've been seeing an RE and they did my first round of bloodwork yesterday at exactly 4 weeks. Confirmed of course. They want to do another round of bloodwork tomorrow to make sure the numbers are progressing as they should. Then they said at 6-7 weeks they want to do an ultrasound...then they'd "release" me to the OB and said I should see her at 8 weeks.
