Victoria's Secret let us down

Thread Starter
I was so excited that Victoria's secret now has nursing bras, so when I was at the mall I went there to get one.
When I asked the clerk she said "we don't carry nursing bras"
I told her that VC did create a new nursing bra line, and she said "hrmph...we have never had nursing bras, and i don't think we will"
I politely asked her to speak to her manager about ordering the new bras.

Should I also write a letter?

I would. Perhaps they are only available on-line??? At least write an email.

The mgr. I asked was a little more knowledgeable. She knew of the new line, but said there are no plans to carry them in the stores themselves at this time. So its online only at this point. Plus the sizes do not get large enough for many women, so its not that useful to me anyway.

It's my understanding that they're only an online item - but, the clerks should still know about it.

yup, I had teh same thing...the one by me doesn't have them either. Can I tell you how disappointed I was? I specifically took $40 out of the bank for that reason. I ended up buying pizza instead. :/

Right, they are only online. The clerk should have known that. I'd let the management know that they need to educate the staff better.
Like past post said, they go up so small I couldn't wear them anyway!

I still think it's great that VS makes nursing bras- there ARE women who fit nicely in their products and can't get as good a fit in other stores, and they can order nursing bras online that fit well and are pretty too.

I've never been one of those women (I think maybe I could have gotten fitted in there before I stopped growing?) but I know they must exist or the store would have gone out of business long ago!

I used to wear ONLY VS bras pre-kids.. Now I'm thrilled that they make them. But, if I'm going to spend that kind of money on a bra, I'll go Bella Materna.

They don't have a very large size range. They don't carry any band under 34, or any A cups, either.

The all-over lace bra looks suspiciously like my Elle MacPherson bra, which does come in my size (a 32DD), and fits nicely.

They're actually doing a test-run with nursing bras in only some of the stores to see how it goes. My friend bought one from our local VS and while there she asked the manager about their "breastfeeding policy". This particular manager was overwhelmingly positive and supportive of breastfeeding in the store. There are 44 stores nationwide that are testers.

Where can I find a list to see if the stores in my city are being used as part of the test market?

I dunno, but the one in the Orange Park Mall (near Jacksonville, FL) has them.

I'm in Indy. Been checking at the VS in the local mall near me but no dice. I may have to go to the downtown one to see if they're there.

Lane Bryant carries nursing bras on their website...those seem to be sized more realistically.

I swear I'm gonna start a tribe for 30/32 D cup and above nursing mothers.
We can all commiserate about the lack of good available bras, and give reviews on the few we do find.

The Gap has Nursing bras! I LOVE their regular bras (infact I will never go back to VS since I found gap bras!) so I would think that their nursing bras would be good too! Just wanted to let you know!

No way! I've been in The Gap a few times but never noticed they had lingerie. I'll have to check them out.

rapid city sd must be one of the "test stores" because i checked vs out this weekend and they had the whole nursing line. they looked great and sexy but my dh would flip out if i paid 40+ dollars on a bra no matter how sexy so i didnt get one. i did tell the sales lady how awesome it is that they have nursing bras now.

I would join, I swear! I hover between a 30 and a 32 band. I love how everyone always suggests going up a band size and down a cup size. That would work if I didn't mind my bra not staying in place.

I was a 30C before pregnancy. That was even a pain to find.
