I'm not sure where to put this but I figured someone here minght know. My hubby put my stoneware in the dishwasher anyone know what I do with it now? I'm assuming it have chemicals inbedded in it now right?

Wash it good and it should be ok. I don't think the amount of residue on it would make much difference at this point if you wash it with a good detergent then re-season it with coconut oil.

When I have done this I have soaked it in a sink full of water for at least a full day before seasoning and using - mine actually smelt soapy...

Yikes! That would practically be grounds for divorce at my house.

I would give it a good long soak, as a pp suggested, then a good scrubbing with baking soda and leave the baking soda on for a bit, to get any remaining soap odour out, then do a trial run with something in it that you don't care too much if you waste it. Good luck!

I didn't know you could season stonewear (the metal stuff with the spots, right?). How do you do that? I have a large roasting pan that I do my chickens in.
