We DTD on Sunday and man oh man was i dumb for not speaking up about not laying on my back...i felt so smooshed i just wanted it over with but wanted those prostoglandins...how bad is THAT! :

That was my sex talk last night (didn't work). "Honey, I need some of your prostoglandins and some stimulation..." No wonder he's not so interested. I'm just being silly of course.

She said for how low the head is though it doesn't matter much-once ctx start, that head'll be putting so much pressure on me that I'll dilate in no time! I haven't gotten brave enough to check for myself yet.

We were so excited after the appt., went out and bought a pineapple, had grand plans of DTD and walking to get 'er rolling...then came home. DH really wanted me to put my support hose on to help the swelling, and sweetly offered to help. Well it was such a fiasco that he got really frustrated, then I broke down into a hormonal crying jag-'oh my god I can't do this and nobody loves me and life sucks and I don't want this baby'. In retrospect I can't believe the awful things I was thinking! I laid in bed for 3 hours trying to nap and read to get over it. Then watched American Idol and had a chocolate milkshake.

Today-well...I just now violently puked up the smoothie I'd been sipping on, and then immediately after, had some lovely diarrhea. Is something up? I wonder...

Sounds like something is up! Yay!

Your drama story sounds like something that would happen to me...but as an RN believe me, those support hoes are so hard to put on!

And that is super cool about the head. i dont' think i could resist checking! Wasn't it ChristyH that felt the same thing? I wish that would happen to me.

I'm so glad i'm not alone, i feel like the last one on this DDC.

Ditto!!! In another thread, someone mentioned a 5-mile walk to start labor... this is crazily enough sounding tempting aside from the reality that 1. I haven't even walked around the block in weeks, and 2. wouldn't that make me really tired for labor? Though I do okay in the supermarket, holding onto the shopping cart... maybe I can find a discarded cart in my neighborhood and walk that way

Elleystar, good luck if today is the start of things!

I can still feel her head when I check, in fact it's even lower now. When she hasn't been moving in a while I'll reach up there and check her heartbeat that you can feel on her head. Plus it pisses her off and makes her start moving!

Yeah I quit wearing the hose my last couple weeks of work-just way too much work! I think that some hormones must have been surging just then, cause normally I would laugh at something like that. To have the frustration send me into bawling is quite strange.
I've been feeling a little alone too! There's so few of us left to talk about preggo things!

And YOU, girl! I can not even BELIEVE you're still around! 38 weeks and counting with twins? You're going to get some kind of award for that. Confession: I get on MDC every morning looking for your announcement, cause I just can't believe you're going to go another day further! Hey, have you got a stroller yet? Just go for a walk with that! Sure people will think it's weird that the stroller's empty, but screw em!

i'm still here too.... sometimes i feel like it's never gonna end.... and im not even at my due date yet.

but, the body isn't loking like its ready to do anything yet.... my midwife is talking about inducing because my bp is getting crazy, but there aren;t any other dnger signs yet, and she wants to wait until i've dropped or started having contractions or something- hasn't done an internal yet, but babe is still way up there.

think i can still DTD?? they didn;t say i couldn't... and my water hasn't brokrn, so i should be ok, even on bed rest, right??

the midwife should be calling me with my pre-e blood work results soon, so I'll know if i'll stay preggers a little longer... i can ask her the sex question then....

Thanks for the encouragement!
And OMG, the stroller is SUCH A GOOD IDEA! Maybe I can convince DH to go for a walk with me tonight!! Can you imagine a big ole pregnant woman pushing an empty stroller? Like, just in case something happens on the walk...

I hope your swelling goes down soon. I must confess, I actually liked wearing the support hose... I know, weirdo weirdo.
