I told you all about my dh's aunt at Christmastime and how she told us we were "crazy" etc etc for having a third child.
I was thoroughly offended because she, of all people, has the means to have tons of kids and raise them well... she's just so neurotic and such a control freak about everything that I guess she assumes that anyone who has more than two kids is either out of their mind or irresponsible (and I get the feeling she thinks we are the latter).
Anyway, last week we got a card and a bru gift card in the mail from her and her family.
Supposedly her 6 year old said (and the aunt wrote in the card) "oh boy, so many babies!!!"
hmm... I wonder where he got THAT mentality from!!!
And then she wrote that she hoped we were sleeping and that we were going to keep the grocery store in business for years to come... and yeah, my favorite... "can you imagine what the teen years are gonna be like???"
No peace, love and happiness... it's all just like we're freaks for not following her model of "family."
I just want to call her up (not that I ever do or anything) and tell her how wonderful everything is and how we love our newest addition and how blessed we feel. Of course baby brain would prevent me from getting the words out in a way that would actually make sense (forget about eloquent)...

It's obviously safe to say that you can ignore everything else that came in that envelope! Don't let her unkind words add to your overwhelmed/stressed mom state as you are trying to balance life again with another child. You are normal; her choice to express her judgmental views is not.
