So I need new Sunscreen...

What kind of sunscreen should I get?

I want one w/o all the yucky chemicals
I don't want my face to turn white with zinc
I need a higher SPF as I'm super fair
I want one for my face that is not greesy (my face is prone to breakouts)
I want it to feel lightweight

Can you help me pick one out?

I like Alba sunscreens-- we have both the chemical free one and the waterproof sport one. They smell good and aren't greasy.

I do wear a hat! I have a nice big one that shades me well, but I need senscreen as well. For my boys too (they are also very good with wearing hats...my 1.5 yo know that if he wants outside, he has to wear a hat).

I use the Alba sunscreen too, esp. the one for sensitive skin for my face. Other lotions with sunscreen have caused me to break out or get very red/sore.

I like Alba sunscreens, but not for my face. Any mineral sunscreen I've ever tried is too sticky to wear under makeup. I think their facial sunscreen (in the pink tube) is a little too greasy for facial wear, and isn't oil-free. I can't put anything that's not oil-free on my face.

All that said, Alba Hawaiian Green Tea SPF 30 is my absolute favorite sunscreen for the rest of my body. It has a great texture and is the best-smelling sunscreen EVER. (Now if they'd just make an oil-free version!)

Some of Alba's products do have yukky chemicals, but I'm pretty sure they are paraben free.

I like Aveeno sunscreens. DS and I have very sensitive skin, so this is great for us. He's very white and burns easily (like his dad) so we have to keep him greased up all the time during the summer. Just a hat is not enough.

Aubrey Organics was by far the most natural of all of the one's I have checked. That's what we use. I do recommend buying it new each year tho. For some reason it doesn't seem to work so well the following season.
